Chris Oyakhilome Spreads the Word
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is from Edo, Nigeria. He is a father of two, Charlane and Sharon. He married Anita Ebhodaghe in 1991 and divorced in 2016, she is also a pastor. The two parents decided to share custody of the children. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has a mission to help the sick, poor, those in need of restoring their spirituality and materially by directing them to the light of God. He has been doing this for thirty years and continues on. During Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s mission he had been awarded honorary doctorate of divinity, which can only be handed out from divinity schools and universities. The doctorate of divinity is different from the doctorate of Theology since that is more closely to a doctorate of philosophy.
Christ Embassy, also well remembered as Believers’ LoveWorld Incorporated, was founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in Lagos the year of 1990. It started out as a prayer group at the University of Edo State. The Lagos ministry has more than 40,000 members, while the Christ Embassy has about one million members. They use their money for more spiritual means, giving hope to people and using it for their gospels. Their mission is to bring more people to the church, which Chris Oyakhilome embedded his goals into his church. The Haven is only one of the Embassy’s branches. To bring people together from around the world they have channels, these channels are called, LoveWorld Plus, LoveWorld SAT and LoveWorld TV. This idea help go to those who can’t make it to the massive church themselves. It was announced lately there will be another channel in the United States, he will be partnering up with Pastor Benny Hinn, whose been teaching his worship for forty-three years. It will be on a big tv company called, Olympusat it will be on everyday to reach out to more viewers.
Chris attended to the latest worship at The Haven Convention to reach out and connect with the Lord. During the worship there was songs, dance, a talk show to sit down and discuss certain topics, and lecture on the faith. It really is a massive church, but with more. The way Chris spoke, he used analogies and metaphors to relate to his teachings with a gentle voice. People were moved by his teachings. Pastor Ifeoma also attended the service. She read a reading from the bible, Psalm 33:12, which says that God has chosen us as his people. You could perhaps say that Chris has succeeded his goal to connect and bring more people together to his church. And by using this new channel on the Olympusat company it will definitely draw more attention.
